| This notice supersedes Client Management Operations Notice CM#0268 issued on Monday, August 12, 2002. Please note the correction in bold and italicized text below. The FEC (Front-End Clearing) re-design project recently rolled out its first application with the successful launch of ETP (Electronic Trade Posting) on July 29. Over the next several weeks you can expect to see additional ETP enhancements such as exporting data to a spreadsheet and sending TREX formatted change records to correct GLOBEX trades in clearing. This implementation was a critical success for CME Inc. and we would like to take this moment to thank you and your staff for participating and supporting this effort. New Allocate Claim System The next FEC application to be rolled out will be the ACS (Allocate Claim System) give-up application, which is scheduled to be launched by November 15, 2002. This new application will replace the existing 3270-based GUS application. Like ETP, it will be a real time web browser application that will support a full range of real time API message-based processing. All Firms Migrate to GUS API As the current GUS system will be replaced, it is important that we inform firms of our plan to eliminate the current RJE GUS batch file (load to bookkeeping) process when ACS is implemented. This means that all firms must have the ability to accept via MQM the real time claim and acceptance offset API messages into bookkeeping. The specific message codes, in positions 1-3 of the TREX record, are: - TRX GCC record which loads to the carrying firms bookkeeping system when a trade is claimed.
- TRX GCA record which is the offset record that loads to the executing firms bookkeeping system when a trade is accepted by the designated carrying firm.
We ask that you review this requirement with your bookkeeping vendor and staff as soon as possible to ensure that your bookkeeping process will be prepared upon implementation of ACS. If you have any questions, please call Farris Oweimrin, Client Management, at 312-648-4780 foweimri@cme.com. |
